My name is Keri and I’m from the middle of no where! A place where people look at you really funny if you go out and cosplay in public. Of course, I don’t know of anywhere people wont look at you funny if they saw someone walking around in this frilly thing. Anyway, I fell in love with Kuroshitsuji quite the long time ago back when it was a wee baby manga. I’d alway loved Ciel, so naturally I had to see if I could pull him off. I wore this for the first time at Naka Kon 2011 and it was honestly one of the best times I’ve had in cosplay. I genuinely love this series and the fandom, so I was nervous debuting especially since I met Brina Palencia and J Michael Tatum in it… But my confidence was upped when Brina asked to take my photo. I died a little bit, honestly. Anyway, I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed posing for them. C:

Black Butler Cosplay Contest – #71 Kira

My cosplay is of Sebastian in his famous tailcoat. The pictures were all either taken from a photoshoot or around a convention, either Nan Desu Kan or Animeland Wasabi.
Sebastian is the notorious butler of young Ciel Phantomhive and what isn’t there to love about the demon who just so happens to be “one hell of a butler”? A lot of time went into constructing the costume and everything had to be perfect, even the buttons have the Phantomhive insignia on them. From the pocket watch that works to the spikes on the hair, I did everything I could to make the costume as accurate as possible. I love the show Kuroshitsuji and cosplaying from it quickly became a dream of mine that I very swiftly fulfilled. I made roses, trays, and knives for that special little touch. Sebastian then became one of my favorite and most enjoyed cosplays.

Cosplaying as Sebastian Michaelis, as you can see （´∀`）. While the costume’s humble beginnings were downhill and not well regarded, I plunged in and took time to rethink and change my cosplay. I like a more exquisite look from his side, and while his overall costume was an easy setup, I added a few touches of my own; glasses, earpieces…even a cup of tea (with real Earl Grey) and a table cloth during conventions. I wore this on numerous occasions in Australia (conventions, clubs, zombie walks etc), and still striving to make it more outstanding than it ever was. His seriousness and endearing mannerisms are quite exemplary to portray in cons and are always highly regarded by the attendees. And he’s an amazing butler, full stop. (`･ω･´)
Now…all I need is a cat.

I made the entire costume myself with the exception of the wig.

The first photo was taken at my house, the night before an Anime Convention.
