I ordered a custom size of this cosplay (putting my exact measurements). The clothing itself is very detailed (especially that beautiful torso) and fits absolutely perfectly around my bust, torso, and waist. The main piece (the dress) feels very comfortable, and includes many of the little details on Miku's dress. I have a couple of qualms with the cosplay as it is, however.
The first is regarding the length of the dress. Miku's actual dress is pictured as being rather short (going up to about mid-thigh), which is around what I expected the length of the dress to be. However, the dress I received went all the way down to my knees and even a bit further, which I found to be highly inaccurate. I am altering the dress to make it shorter to stay truer to the character, but I can see there being some frustration if people do not know about this when they order the dress.
The second is that I found the shoulder straps to be very loose on my body (perhaps there is a fix for this?). I find that the straps are constantly falling off my shoulders and see no way to fixate them further to my shoulders.
The third is that the arm pieces are also very loose. There is an elastic attached to each of the arm pieces that I assume are meant to fit around the shoulder, but that would make the cosplay inaccurate again, as the actual Miku wears them halfway down her upper arm. Maybe I just have a small shoulder issue but these elastic bands don't stay up either even if I put them on my shoulders.
The fourth was that the musical symbol attached to the dress did not really look like the proper musical symbol, and it appears to have been hot glued to the dress. Admittedly, I will be removing the symbol and remaking it after altering the length of the dress.
Other than the above four points, I am fairly happy with the cosplay and look forward to wearing it at my next convention!
Ash Ketchum, known as Satoshi (サトシ?) for all appearances in Japan, is a fictional character in the Pokémon franchise owned by Nintendo. He was created by, and named after, Satoshi Tajiri as the protagonist of the anime and manga series, as well as on various merchandise related to the franchise. In Japanese, the character is voiced by Rica Matsumoto; in English, he was voiced by Veronica Taylor from 1998 until 2006 and the eighth season of the anime series, replaced by Sarah Natochenny for the remainder of the anime and Kayzie Rogers in The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon television special. His name comes from the original English motto, "Gotta Catch 'Em All". Ash's dream is to become a "Pokémon Master."
