A: Yes bleach is my favorite. I love Ichigo and Zaraki.

A: I would do cosplay everyday if I could . I will be doing cosplay as long as I can!

Hello! I’m Daricio! I’ve been making cosplay costumes for a few years now, though I’m by no means a professional. I don’t have much of a budget for costume making, but I try my best with what I have, and I manage to get some pretty good results, considering. I have a lot of fun making and wearing my costumes!

Q: How did you know our contest? And how much have you known about Miccostumes.com?

A: I discovered the contest through a link from deviantart, I think. Before that, I’d never heard of Miccostumes.com.

Q: Is Bleach cosplay your favorite theme? Which character from Bleach do you most like? Is the costume for this character covered here or in our store?

A: Yes, Bleach cosplay is my favorite theme, though I’ve recently been branching out and trying costumes for other fandoms as well. My favorite character is definitely Ichigo’s inner hollow, though I love most of the characters from Bleach, including Ishida Uryuu (obviously). Ichigo’s hollow does have a costume in the store, but my favorite costume for Ishida (the one that I cosplayed) isn’t here.

Q: What’s your first cosplay? How do you think about it? Is there any photo shared with us?

A: My very first cosplay outfit was Urahara Kisuke, which I created as a Halloween costume for my little sister. Considering that I modified a dark green bathrobe bought from a thrift store to make the coat, it turned out pretty good. Strangely, I don’t seem to have any pictures of this costume.

Q: Is there any cosplay plan recently? Or which cosplay convention are you interested in taking part in?

A: I just finished making a costume for Princess Zelda from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (also for my little sister) and my next project is going to be a matching Sheik costume for myself. My sister and I went to Sakuracon 2011 (our first convention), and I really hope to be able to go to that again!

Q: How long will you continue to do cosplay? Or do you think you will do it all the time? What does cosplay mean to you? Is there any element rather attractive for you?

A: Cosplay is just a hobby for me, mostly because I don’t have enough money to make costumes very often, but I hope to be able to continue making them for as long as I am able! Cosplay is, for me, a really fun way of showing my love for the fandoms and characters that I cosplay. I love improving my skills little by little, and making costumes that people like.

Q: We will be interested to know the most memorable moment you got during cosplay.

A: At Sakuracon, I was stopped in the hallway so that someone could take a picture of my Ishida costume. After I posed for the picture, she asked if she could have a hug, so I did. It made me really thrilled that someone actually recognized and liked my costume, since whenever I wear my cosplay costumes for Halloween, I usually get a lot of strange guesses. (“Are you… Princess Leia?”)

Q: It’s believed our cosplay fans will be grateful if you can share us with your experience in this performance art. What’s the most important aspect for a cosplay beginner?

A: The most important aspect for a beginner is to have fun and don’t be a perfectionist. The more you work on your skills, the better you get, so don’t think that everything has to turn out exactly right the first time. Stitches can always be taken out if mistakes are made.

Q: Do your family members support you? Do you often talk about your cosplay works with them? Do they also love what you’ve done?

A: My little sister is the reason I started making cosplay outfits in the first place, since she wanted a costume and I actually know how to sew. She’s the one who typically gives me ideas for what costumes to make next. My parents think my hobby is a little strange (and a bit expensive) but my mom recently gave me her old sewing machine, and she helped me take the photos, so I like to think she supports my strange ideas.

Hello my name is AJ Floyd. Ive been cosplaying and going to cons for a few years now. I lived and California and just moved to Oklahoma. I love this site and wanted to give this contest another go. Ive cosplayed from Naruto, Bleach, Pokemon, Durarara, the World ends with you and pokemon. I also have cosplayed my own variants of some of my cosplays. I’m still new to sewing my cosplays and making them but with my friends and family to back me up and help me.

1. Character: Yoruichi

Description: This is my make me purr Yoruichi cosplay. i saw this fan art pic thats everywhere and just wanted to make a cosplay from bleach that was fun for me. I then took the pic and made my own since sometimes i get self conscious about having my belly out and decided to alter the shirt to fit me. I had added safety pins for a fun rocking touch.

Q: How did you know our contest? And how much have you known about Miccostumes.com?

A: I entered the last contest, the Naruto one, and wanted to give this another shot!

Q: Is Bleach cosplay your favorite theme? Which character from Bleach do you most like? Is the costume for this character covered here or in our store?

A: to be honest Bleach isn’t my uber favorite but in my top 10. I love Yoruichi. She is like the best Character in the show and thus awesome. I love cosplaying as her.

Yes and that’s the cosplay I’m wanting to win.

Q: What’s your first cosplay? How do you think about it? Is there any photo shared with us?

A: My first official cosplay was Kyuubi from Naruto and yoruichi make me purr was my second. I loved and I’m still learning the ropes of cosplay making but it’s awesome. No I haven’t posted any pics of the first ones yet.

Q: Is there any cosplay plan recently? Or which cosplay convention are you interested in taking part in?

A: I’m in the process of getting my cosplay groups together. We or at least I plan to go to as many cons this year as I can. I want to go back to my first con ever, anime expo in California. I also go to a-kon and anime fest in dallas, izumicon and Tokyo in tulsa in Oklahoma.

Q: How long will you continue to do cosplay? Or do you think you will do it all the time? What does cosplay mean to you? Is there any element rather attractive for you?

A: I think I will try to do it as long as I can. I just love the idea of dressing up and role playing. It really builds a lot of positive traits as well.

A: really its to enjoy cosplaying and not let others opinions get you down. For me there aren’t many characters that fit my looks but I don’t let that stop me. It just means I have to work harder to pull off a cosplay. Anyone can cosplay but you have to do it to make you look the best you can and thus it will make the character unique and good.

A: Well they support me and help me when they can. They understand this is what I want to do so they help when they can and even participate.

Q: How did you know our contest? And how much have you known about Miccostumes.com?

A: I found this contest through facebook while browsing for cosplay events. I have never heard of this site until I came across it on facebook.

Q: Is Bleach cosplay your favorite theme? Which character from Bleach do you most like? Is the costume for this character covered here or in our store?

A: No, Bleach is not my favorite theme, but it is one of the top favorites. I like Toushiro and other strong characters from Bleach because they make it fun to be all serious in photos. Yes, this costume is in your store.

Q: What’s your first cosplay? How do you think about it? Is there any photo shared with us?

A: My first cosplay was Misa Amane from Death Note. I think that cosplay was horrible..i didn’t go with a wig because I was really new to cosplay so i didnt know how to go about with cosplaying her. I bought everything at the store for her cosplay and went with my normal long black hair. I did bring out the costume again to wear to school with a blonde wig and it was much better then. I think I have one photo of that cosplay, but i rather not share it haha.

Q: Is there any cosplay plan recently? Or which cosplay convention are you interested in taking part in?

A: Right now I am making two cosplays: Ciel Phantomhive from Black Butler or Kuroshitsuji and Noctis from Final Fantasy Versus. I will be attending Sakura-Con 2012 this coming April 😀

Q: How long will you continue to do cosplay? Or do you think you will do it all the time? What does cosplay mean to you? Is there any element rather attractive for you?

A: I will continue to cosplay as long as I still look young so i don’t know how long that will be, hopefully a long time. Cosplay to me is being able to become the character you are dressed as and bring them to life. Cosplay allows me to be someone different each time I choose a different character.

Q: We will be interested to know the most memorable moment you got during cosplay.

A: My most memorable moment while cosplaying has to be when I attended Sakura-Con 2010 because I cosplayed as Toushiro for the first time. I was outside of the convention in the back where every year there is a glomp circle, is like spin the bottle instead you hug the person that the bottle lands on and people don’t go one at a time. My friends and I were just chatting away when a Aizen cosplayer came up to me, complimented my cosplay then he picked me off the ground into the air and ran me to the glomp circle screamed ” everyone hug Toushiro!!” A HUGE group of people ran towards me and hugged me and when everyone was done they left me and i waddled back to my friends shocked at what juat happened hahaha…although it was a slightly scary experience it is one of the most memorable moments of cosplaying XD

A: I think the most important aspect for a beginner would be to take time to plan out your cosplay and sew it as neatly as you can because if you sew a costume you don’t want to rush through it. Taking the time to sew everything properly will make your costume turn out great and you will feel a lot of satisfaction once it is done 🙂

A: My family don’t really care about me cosplaying they just make fun of me about it a lot..

Hello! I’m Chelsea Havoc and have been cosplaying since 2006. I mostly make my own costumes but I also buy premade costumes to alter. I love cosplaying to have fun and make friends and to also show off my crafting skills. I often go out with friends in Cosplay for photo shoots and to show that costumes are not just for Halloween.

Chelsea’s Bleach Cosplay Performance

1. Character: Rukia

Description: Rukia from bleach in her soul reaper outfit (first seen episode 1) I made this costume with black and white suiting fabrics and also styled the wig with got2be glued hair glue. The sword was a black boken I spray painted white and added chain, beads, and ribbon to.

2. Character: Rukia

Description: Super Maid Cop Rukia from bleach (episode 298) I made this costume with a thick blue cotton, white cotton/polyester mix, burgundy spandex and pink bridal satin for the back bow. The gun prop is a squirt gun spray painted and bunny accents glued on. The shoes are black loafers with white bunny heads made of felt and burgundy ribbon to match the inside of the cape.

A: Miccostumes.com? Not much but I’ve looked though the website and fell in love with the costumes and blogs

A: I love Rukia. She’s very confident in herself. The soul reaper outfit is.

Q: What’s your first cosplay? How do you think about it? Is there any photo shared with us?

A: It was horrible… everything was bought from a thrift store and altered slightly. I used black tape for her harm bands and leg pouch. No I’m sorry it was so long ago the photos have since been deleted and the costume remade

Q: Is there any cosplay plan recently? Or which cosplay convention are you interested in taking part in?

A: I plan on making Sarah from final fantasy xiii-2. Kumoricon in northern Oregon is my home con and I love going there each year

Q: How long will you continue to do cosplay? Or do you think you will do it all the time? What does cosplay mean to you? Is there any element rather attractive for you?

A: I really want to keep doing Cosplay till I’m at least 30 and have a cosplaying family. Yes. It’s a great way to meet friends that share your same interest and to build a skill (crafting/sewing/woodwork). Wearing costumes! My favorite holiday has always been Halloween.

Q: We will be interested to know the most memorable moment you got during cosplay.

A: I was a sakuracon 2009 in Seattle Washington. I was wearing my serena/usagi school girl outfit from sailor moon and a little girl saw me and jumped up and down shouting “serena! Serena! I want a picture!!” made my day.

Q: It’s believed our cosplay fans will be grateful if you can share us with your experience in this performance art. What’s the most important aspect for a cosplay beginner?

A: Cosplay someone you love and connect with, otherwise you won’t have that much fun.

Q: Do your family members support you? Do you often talk about your cosplay works with them? Do they also love what you’ve done?

A: Yes. My grandma always asks what my most recent project has been. Most of them do others think my main costumes are a bit skimpy.
