Hello, I’m Selina and I’m 14 years old. I was born in and I live in Melbourne, Australia. I started cosplaying two years ago after seeing the passion of beautiful cosplayers at an anime con, and since then I’ve never looked back.

Q: Which Naruto costume listed as prizes do you most want?

A: It’s a hard choice, but I would choose Tenten, Hinata or Temari. I honestly can’t choose!

Q: What’s attractive to you about cosplay?

A: I think that the most attractive thing about cosplay is that you get to throw your own personality into portraying someone that might be completely different to you.

Q: Your most memorable moment while cosplay?

A: Standing in the freezing rain while a photographer tried to get a nice photo of me, haha.

Q: Are you often photographed? Since many cosplayer (especially beginners) feel nervous or unnatural while facing the lens, would you like to sharing us some experience or skills here?

A: Often photographed? Yes I am! Well of course I have those moments that I don’t know what to do, because of various reasons like I’m not prepared physically or just confidence wise, but I have been cosplaying since I was 14 and I am kind of used to it. I just think that I have to overcome it and try to pose the best way I can for the photos that people want from me. I also try to teach my friends not to be scared of the camera either!

Q: Is there any cosplay plan you are rather interested in yet not able to do it due to some reasons? And what is your next plan?

A: I’m planning to cosplay Minori from Toradora! and Menma from AnoHana. I wish that I could make a cosplay PV for Secret Base~ kimi ga kureta mono or Pre-Parade but that’s probably a little far off.

Q: Which cons do you want to participate recently? What is your favorite part about going to cons?

A: I want to go to Comic Con because I’ve never gone there. But since I am only in sacramento I think I would be able to go to Sac anime or sac con more often.

Q: How do your family members think of your cosplay? Do you also feel interested and support you?

A: My mother is my main supporter in cosplay, and she helps me way too much with sewing and such. Also, my sister often does photography for me, which is really helpful because I can just drag her along any day, any time instead of hassling other people! My dad is definitely a supporter as well. He helped set up some of my photos, especially the one with fire all around me!

Hello Hello! My name is Sandra or you can call me what my friends do, Sasuke. I was born in South Korea but was raised in America. I am 20 years old. I first started cosplaying when I was 18 because I was not allowed to do anything till I was an adult and able to drive to conventions because my parents would not. When I cosplayed for the first time, I cannot believe how much fun it was and the numerous of friends I made just from that fun weekend at a convention. I work hard trying to obtain the costumes I need and no proud to ask for help from my great friends when I need it. I enjoy looking at others cosplays because I think there amazing no matter what! I hope I do well in this contest, even if I don’t I am glad to compete with the other amazing cosplayers here. : )

Q: Which Naruto costume listed as prizes do you most want?

A: If I was the winner, I would most likely get the Shippuden costume of Sasuke. I am dedicated to Sasuke’s character and always like to challenge myself to cosplay different versions. Plus, he’s my favorite.

Q: What’s attractive to you about cosplay?

A: I believe the most attractive point about cosplay is how you can be yourself, you are able to have fun and meet all sorts of different people. To me, cosplay is not about looking the best or matching skin tones with the characters, it’s about having fun and expressing your love, dedication and hard work you put into your cosplay and showing the love you have the character.

Q: Are you often photographed? Since many cosplayer (especially beginners) feel nervous or unnatural while facing the lens, would you like to sharing us some experience or skills here?

A: As Sasuke, I am frequently getting photographed. I do not get as shy when I am Sasuke or any character for that matter because I feel like I can become myself and I can express my way and dedication of Sasuke’s character. I enjoy having my photo taken because I love being able to show how I can get into character when people take them.

Q: Is there any cosplay plan you are rather interested in yet not able to do it due to some reasons? And what is your next plan?

A: I haven’t been able to some cosplays like doing a duel monster from Yugioh or a card from cardcaptors because I do not have the right skills and the money is always a great issue. The next plan that will take a lot of work will be Kai from beyblade and Deidara from Naruto.

Q: Which cons do you want to participate recently? What is your favorite part about going to cons?

A: I am a part of the Grell Show and we look forward to participating in many cons, especially our home con; Animazement. I love going to Otakon, AWA, and Katsucon too.

Q: How do your family members think of your cosplay? Do you also feel interested and support you?

A: My family members find it weird but they don’t care what I do with cosplay.

A: At my first convention, I went with my girlfriend and her brother as the Sand Siblings, and we were constantly getting our pictures taken. It was pretty cool.

A: Find a pose you want to do before you go to a convention, it’ll be a lot less stressful when someone asks for a photograph if you already know what you’re gonna do.

I’m a 19-year-old alternative model and photographer. I love anime and cosplay and love to cosplay just for the fun of it. My favorite Naruto characters are Gaara, Sasuke, Itachi, and Sasori. Q: Which Naruto costume listed as prizes do you most want?

A: Definitely Gaara. I love Gaara, seeing how he was the first character I fell in love with. But I’d also like to get Kakashi for my girlfriend for Christmas. =)

Q: What’s attractive to you about cosplay?

A: Everything. The costumes, the makeup, the effort people put into their characters is simply amazing. I love being able to pretend you are your favorite character for it allows you to keep your love for that character alive.

Q: Your most memorable moment while cosplay?

A: My first convention which was AWA (Anime Weekend Atlanta). I had never been to a convention before and I must say, it was the best weekend I had ever had. I got to meet three voice actors I had been wanting to meet ever since I was little. Not to mention I got to meet some amazing people, including my girlfriend.

Q: Are you often photographed? Since many cosplayer (especially beginners) feel nervous or unnatural while facing the lens, would you like to sharing us some experience or skills here?

A: I only recently started cosplaying so I can’t really say I’m often photographed. But when I went to AWA, a lot of people asked for a picture. And I am not shy in front of the camera. Being an alternative model really helps me when I cosplay cause I live to be in front of the camera.

Q: Is there any cosplay plan you are rather interested in yet not able to do it due to some reasons? And what is your next plan?

A: There are many cosplays I’d wish to do but unfortunately, money is very tight. My next plan is to save enough money to get more cosplays such as Sebastian Michealis from Kuroshitsuji and Gaara from Naruto.

Q: Which cons do you want to participate recently? What is your favorite part about going to cons?

A: The last cons I attended was the Lucca Comics & Games … I do not have a favorite moment in which I always like to go^^

Q: How do your family members think of your cosplay? Do you also feel interested and support you?

A: Well, my mom just thinks that if it’s something I’m interested in, then I should go for it. My mom supports me in any decisions I make which is why I couldn’t ask for a better mother.
