Cosplay Tutorial Contest – HOW TO MAKE RIN MELTDOWN GUITAR SIMPLE AND EASY by Jing

HOW TO MAKE RIN MELTDOWN GUITAR
SIMPLE AND EASY

WHAT YOU NEED :
– Cardboard
– Cutter
– Paper or Newspaper
– Gold Acrylic Paint
– Paintbrush
– Black Acrylic Paint
– Hot Glue Gun
– Ceramic
– White Spray

Let’s start now!

First draw the guitar base on a piece of newspaper or any big paper then cut it out. Paste the paper on the cardboard and draw out the shape on the board following the lines. After that, use a cutter to cut the shape of the board out. Since the thickness of board is only 1cm, I cut out 4 boards.

1

Cut the two boards like the right side and two boards like the left side. After that I sprayed using white spray at the boards.

2

After the boards are dry, using a hot glue gun, stick the board together as you can see the 3d effects on the guitar. Don’t forget to use the leftover board to cut out the guitar stick. You can use papers to stick on the board if it’s hard for to spray.

3

Then start painting your guitar with gold acrylic paint. But if you can’t see the golden colour yet, you can use yellow acrylic paint first. After it’s dry, paint with gold acrylic.

4

Paint the stick with black acrylic paint. You’re allowed to use spray instead of paint. As for the end of the stick, paint gold acrylic on it. After all the boards are dry, using the hot glue gun again, stick the guitar stick together with the main board.

5

Paint gold acrylic again on a piece of paper and cut it into small rectangle. Then stick it on the guitar stick. FINALLY YOU’RE DONE!

Cosplay Tutorial Contest – HOW TO DYE FEATHERS by Ren from CosplayWorkshop.com

HOW TO DYE FEATHERS
Tutorial by Ren from CosplayWorkshop.com

WE NEED:

• white feathers
• silk color (red in this case)
• ecoline (red in this case)
• water
• pot
• chopsticks
• kitchen paper
• winegar
• hair drier

1

LET’S START!

First we have to put water in the pot and let it boil, when it’s ready, put some winegar in the water and add 2 spoons of silk color and one spoon of ecoline.
Gently mix the water with a pair of wood chopsticks and remove from the fire.

2

Now we can dip our feathers into the water (just 5 feathers at time), mix an leave them in the water for 3 minutes. As long as they stay in the water, the more bright will be the color on the feathers.

Pick up the feathers from the pot with the chopsticks and lay them down on the kitchen paper. With another peace of paper, gently press the feathers to remove the excess water.

3

Now with the hair drier dry off the feathers. Be carefull! You have to use it at the minum strenght and medium heat so the feathers will regain their fluffy shape.

Now you can proceed with other feathers.
Check the water temperature often, the water must be hot.

You can also make some color gradiations!
Just dip in the water only the side of the feather you want to color! Like this!

4

You can dye a colored feather (like this pink one) with a darker color (red in this case), just add more winegar in the water.
