Near is a character from Death Note. His real name is Nate River. He is the younger of L's two successors raised in Watari's orphanage for gifted children (Wammy's House). He is usually seen hunched over rather than sitting, and he also constantly plays with various toys, which he uses in his theories. As L uses the Wedding text "L", Near uses the Wedding text "N" to represent himself. This character is popular among cosplayers. It can be portrayed by wearing cosplay Near costume and cosplay Near wig. This character is always present in a Death Note cosplay.
